Elan Cafe, Park Lane, London

Élan Café has been exploding all over my Insta feed in the past week or so - It’s a blogger’s dream; vintage bicycles parked up outside with baskets overflowing with peonies, marble tables, a healthy dose of copper and latte art galore!

Naturally I couldn’t resist and had to make my way down to Park Lane to check it out, and I have to say the hype did not disappoint! Élan is situated on Park Lane, just opposite Hyde Park, with a quaint little shop-front which would catch the eye of any girly-girl. The charming exterior is worthy of any Instagram feed, and the inside is just as delightful.

We headed in for a snoop, as I knew I wanted as many pictures as possible for my own collection, and we couldn’t resist stopping for a coffee and cake. The selection of food is incredible – and you can clearly see that a lot of love and thought went in to each creation.

I opted for a ‘Flower Lover’ tea, which has a bloom in the glass teapot – a real show stopper on the table (and certainly makes a great picture), but if I’m honest the flavour was that of any standard green tea. I enjoyed my tea with one of their gluten free cakes – Rose and Pistachio flavour - and it was delicious.

As I mentioned, this café is a blogger-heaven, and it didn’t go unnoticed that a lot of the other visitors were creating flat-lays of their coffees and snapping pictures of the beautiful décor.

All in all, visiting Élan was a lovely experience; the food was fab and the staff were incredible, and I’d definitely recommend you popping it on your list of places to visit in London. The only downside was the size of the venue, as it often fills up meaning you could be left waiting for a table or getting your coffee to go… albeit not such a bad thing when the to-go cups are as cute as this!

(Of course I had to do the infamous flower wall cup shot!)
One big plus to make up for the small location is the fact that Élan is open from 7.30am – midnight, which means if you time it right you should be able to find a quiet moment when you can grab a table and enjoy your surroundings. From what I’ve seen on their Instagram page, it looks like they’re due to be opening a second location in Knightsbridge very soon, which I’m sure will be just a beautiful as the original.

I feel like if I were to run a café, it would be exactly like Élan  They’ve got it just right; amazing food/drinks with a fairy tale aesthetic to match. Visiting Élan was the perfect birthday treat, and certainly something I would recommend for any upcoming birthdays or special events!
